I don't use mobile but I thought if I signed up you would give me a way to opt out but you didn't
I don't use a mobile phone for internet and I wasn't allowed to opt out, only to sign up. Now I"m stuck with it. Plus, Firefox won't let me save another home page than Mozilla, now. I can't get out of the blankity-blank ad that keeps popping on every time I click the internet icon. I HATE MOZILLA FIREFOX. Why can't my life go on being simple as it was before, no texting, no smart-phone, no accessing internet via mobile phone.

Hey, Did you install Firefox for Android ans set it as default for your native browser? If so - go to Phone Settings -> Applications -> Firefox -> clear defaults. Also try to delete the defaults for Native Browser.
I would recommend you to install latest build for Firefox -it should work better.
I am totally confused. This is what happened: I clicked on the Firefox Icon to get on the internet, as usual. A little screen popped up for just a second which said "checking your add-ons for compatibility with this version of Firefox. It was there and then gone. It happened every time I clicked to get on the internet. This may take a few minutes" but instead it quickly disappeared. Then, a Firefox "ad" popped up asking me if I wanted to choose something for my mobile phone. It gave no way to opt out. I looked everywhere and didn't know how to get rid of it. When I went into tools, I could not get it to accept my usual Swagbucks homepage. mozilla became my homepage. After many tries I said to myself: "well, if I accept this thing maybe it will in the process give me a way to choose NO, I don't want this on my phone. So, I signed up and I have no idea what I signed up for. I never use my phone to get on the internet, have no use for this thing but it was forced on me. You say get on Phone Settings. How do I get on phone settings? Why does Firefox assume that I know all of this? What is the latest "build for Firefox"? What does that mean?

I'm assuming you are seeing the add on about:home in Firefox that has the little android walking around and waving? Basically this is just promoting the Firefox for Android browser. If you don't use your phone to connect to the internet, then you don't need this and you can safely ignore the android. You didn't sign up for anything (there is nothing to sign up for) unless you maybe signed up for a newsletter of some sort.
If you would like to change your home page, read How to set the home page. You can set it to google.com, swagbucks, anything you want :)
