Before the latest update my homepage was my favorites. Now the page will not load. The tabs across the top say that a site, such as Facebook, is open, but nothing shows up on the screen. Just a blank or black page.
Foxtabs does not launch as my homepage anymore, and clicking on the icon, Launch Foxtabs, produces a black screen. How can I get my favorite sites to load? Firefox suggested that I update all applications, and ran a test which showed that Java and Adobe needed to be updated. I did that.

A lot of people have been complaining about black screens, but since you identified it with FoxTabs try using the search box on this page entering FoxTabs black into it. I never got from the questions exactly what was black.
You might also find addition information on the extension's add-on page.
Research your extensions, some may have updates, some may be found in the developer comments or user comments on the add-on, or on the "View all versions" link which is part of the Release notes at the bottom of the add-on page.
