Export/backup mailbox (emails and folders) from Thunderbird Android
Hi all,
Is there a way to export/backup all the emails and folders from an account using Thunderbird for Android? I've searched around and can't find any sign of it, or mention here on support.mozilla.org or elsewhere on the web, so I presume that the feature doesn't exist, however I thought I'd ask here just in case.
My use case is that I've got an old email account which I want to backup before I migrate away from it.
Cheers :)

Hi @Madbilly
There's no feature within the app to backup folder and email data. The export feature only backups up your settings and account configuration.
If imap is being used to connect to your email provider, your emails are retained on their server and will be downloadable by other email clients.
If your looking to transfer your data from one email provider to another, one or both providers may offer tools to do. Clients such as Thunderbird desktop also provide means to backup your email and folder data.
If your account is connecting using Pop3, there's know way I know of to backup the emails stored locally on your phone or tablet.
Thanks for confirming Platform34 :)
