Use a password manager. In a routine PW change, the new PW was lost to me, and now I can't access eMail on that account. Need a way to reset, or change my PW from within Thunderbird.

A regular standards-compliant email client cannot change the password for an account. It can edit or remove its own copy of a password, but the regular email protocols (POP, IMAP & SMTP) have no commands for password changing.

If I have understood your question properly, I don't think what you're asking for is possible.
