no access to Archive options and then how do I retrieve my archived messages?

I need to archive certain emails, but I also need to be able to retrieve them. I do not have access to the archive options in account settings to set up how I want to keep these messages. I also do not know where or how to retrieve, your forum is not searchable and I do not have time to view every forum post.
