Is there a way to sync Thunderbird Contacts/Calendar with my Samsung S5 phone?

Recently my desktop of Outlook went South. I managed to move my contacts and calendar from Outlook to Thunderbird. Now I want to maintain the currency of my calendar and contacts with my Samsung S5 cell phone, as I did with Outlook. Is there anyway of syncing the Thunderbird Contacts/Calendar with my cell phone?

The way I do it is by using a Gmail account. I don't use it much for mail but I do use the calendar, which synchronises smoothly with Thunderbird. I don't have my Gmail contacts in Thunderbird but there is an add-on for Thunderbird which lets you synchronise them if you want. Both the calendar and contacts synchronise with my Android phone (tho it's not a Samsung).
