ublock origin suddenly stopped working

Started my pc 12/19/19 and ublock origin is suddenly not working. A year or several of fine previously. I had to install abp to get something as my pc is nearly unusable otherwise. I tried reinstalling origin and it still is doing little if anything. I can find no way to contact origin to ask them what is going on. Any idea what is going on? Currently ffox 71.0

Their Firefox add-on listing includes this Reddit group as their official support website. Perhaps someone on there would be able to help.

Any messages in the Web Console about uBlock Origin ?

I opened that and with console selected there is nothing but the toolbar, no messages. I do not currently have origin installed I have abp. Does the apparently inoperative origin need to be installed to generate any error messages?

I have tried reinstalling ublock and still no go, using abp for now and it is just not the same. Other pc's I have are working fine. From the reddit pages I ran this: https://firefox-storage-test.glitch.me/ and it shows LocalStorage 

   Good: Totally Working. (fullyOperational)

QuotaManager 

   Bad: Totally Broken. (fullyBroken)

IndexedDB 

   Bad: Totally Broken. (fullyBroken)

Cache API 

   Bad: Totally Broken. (fullyBroken)

I don't know if this is related to my actual problem or the ublock not allowing pages to load problem. If this may be my problem how do I fix those three problems?
