Can no longer read *PDF attachments?
rebuilt my computer after crash. Reloaded thunderbird and Adobe acrobat9, both of which were on my old build. Now when I try to read a .pdf file attachment, I get an err message "Change the association in your preferences". Can't find preferences!! HELP

Turns out the solution was in Windows preferences, not Thunderbird. Somehow the program to open .PDF attachment had been set to a wrong program. Don't know how, but on rebuilding my system after my windows 7 crashed there are a number of settings and preferences in many programs that have to be reset! Much thanks for the help, Matt! You appear to be using windows, so that will be appmenu (The three bar thing on the toolbar) > options > attachments> incoming
