Go to Options --> Home and turn it all off select your home page URL at the top.

I was able to follow the instructions in the url site that you provided, thanks. However I do not see where it allows me to make "+", open a new tab, use my homepage url. I can set it to come up with a blank page but the only options for "New Tabs" are Firefox home (default) or blank page. I do not see where is allows me to enter the url of my current home page. In the boxes next to the settings for "Homepage and new windows" the choices are Firefox home (default), Custom URLs... & Blank page. The next line shows the url of my current home page followed by Use Current Page or Use Bookmark. Having the url of my home page here does not cause the next tab+ to bring up my home page. It just brings up a blank page.

When open Firefox it opens to your Homepage. The + sign next to the tab opens another tab, that is blank is this not what you have ?

Yes Pkshadow that is what I have, a blank new tab, but my question was how to have it load my Home Page.

Thanks Cor-el that is exactly what I needed to solve my problem. That add-on allows me to set the newtab to open my Home page. I appreciate the help.
