Intrusion blocking use of Firefox
I have had what appears to be an instrusion which will not allow me to turn off Firefox even when I turn Laptop off the Intrusion Notice remains Intrusion Notice states my Computer has been blocked Enter Username and Password Call Microsoft Help Desk on the number they provide which does not appear to be Microsoft number at all so I am suspect. I have attempted to uninstall Firefox so I can then reload but I can't as I cannot close Firefox I have done a basic scan using Norton 360 but not a full scan as of yet Any advice would be most appreciated

FAKE ! ! FAKE ! !
A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.
Yes it is phony, and seems your stuck. Do not click on anything that is for sure. Or just go here they way you are and post for help : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/
I would guess you have other browsers. Since use Norton there is Norton Power Eraser that you should be able to access from the program. If not you need your Norton Key to use it if I remember or maybe will find the key if you can download it. https://us.norton.com/support/tools/npe.html As well malwarebytes.com and can use it and AwdCleaner can get from the site also. G'luck
