Firefox 57.0.1(64 bit) won't load gmail contact or tasks when clicked

Normally I use Thunderbird to access my emails so seldom uses web mail but just now login to clean up my contacts list, clicked on contacts just "stayed" so click on tasks and same, nothing happened. I know I can type in contacts.google.com but then not sure many users know that so probably there's a bug somewhere? i never uses other browsers so actually testing with the rest(GC, IE and ME) all worked properly so am in a fix here, what is this bug?

Hi! Thanks for the quick response. Looks like an add-on Pop Up Blocker disabled the function. Had it disabled and works fine now.

It seems nowadays when you click on Contacts another tab will load instead of the actual tab of gmail and even I stopped Pop Up Blocker from working on gmail's page, it still won't work until disabled.

Once again thanks for the help even though I didn't need to go through the steps you mentioned.

Please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

I am glad to hear that your problem has been resolved and that you found out it was a Extension. Yes several are doing there duty a little to well.
