I already have the option selected since installation of 57.0.1 and this has just stopped working today. When I launch firefox my pinned tabs are as they were, but the regular sized tabs are all gone except for one, and it loads my default home page.

What do I need to do to resolve? Thanks!

Chosen solution

I have Restore Previous Session in my History in the Menu Bar (as you refer to as Classic).

May want to do something about that. Or not.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.1 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

If that does not turn up in the menu then the error maybe in your Profile and would have to create a new profile to test. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Are you able to use the Restore Previous Session item from the menu in any of these places:

If that is grayed out, check the History menu for "Recently Closed Windows" and "Recently Closed Tabs" (that list is per-window) to see whether that helps in getting them back.

Thank you!

I restarted the browser again right before I came back here to check for replies, and the the previous tabs loaded successfully. (third time is a charm?)

I did notice before that and still now that the 3-bar button doesn't have the option to restore a previous session at all.

I didn't think of checking history menus before my last restart, but now that the reload has worked, I do not see a restore session option there, but I do see that in the History menu on the classic bar, the option is there for recently closed tabs>restore all tabs (there are ten in this list, but none from previous session that had failed to reload)

I don't have the History button activated so I checked in the controls and activated that. And I see the same options as are in my classic bar for history.

I'm not too worried, since it seems to have worked this last most recent time but is it unusual for that restore previous session options to not exist?

Thanks again for your quick reply!
