Recently I installed Firefox Quantum 57.0 on a PC running Windows 10. I've had no problems in general apart from a few quirks which I believe to be browser specific. The problem is thus: When searching for company reviews on the website Glassdoor, there is a dropdown list to filter by location. See the image attached. Clicking on this list does nothing and does not reveal the drop down.

Troubleshooting:

  • Refreshed the browser - still doesn't work - therefore not an issue with the session
  • Restarted the PC - still doesn't work - therefore not a PC state issue
  • Tried to look at different companies on Glassdoor - still doesn't work - therefore not an issue specific to that company on Glassdoor
  • Tried a different browser (i.e. chrome) - works!

The issue is therefore Firefox Quantum specific.

I was hoping to report this as a 'bug' rather than on a community forum so let me know if there is a more apt place for a report like this.

Chosen solution

Solution: I had an extension called free download manager. For some reason, disabling this allows access to the dropdown list. Weird but it fixed the problem.
