I'm on Windows 7, and using the 64-bit version of Firefox. I haven't investigated into this problem with search engines offered in the 'Options' page, but for search keywords set up in the Bookmarks window, this doesn't seem to be supported. Let me give you an example: I made two identical entries in my Bookmarks with their location (URL) as: http://map.daum.net/?q=%s I made two, because I want to have two distinct search keywords for this one single search url. I need this, because my native tongue is not English, it uses a script different than the Latin one, and I switch my keyboard layout all the time between English and my native language. The two search keywords I'd like to have are namely: 'dm' (short for Daum Map) and '으' (<- This is the character you get if you type the English letters 'dm' while you're keyboard layout is set to Korean.) So, I first set the keyword of the first entry as 'dm', but upon setting the second one as '으', the first one automatically becomes '으' also, or they can't be set differently. I use several other browsers, including ones which use the Gecko engine, and most of them support this feature. So, I'd like to know if this feature is actually there and I'm missing something, and if not, if there is a reason why Firefox does not support this feature unlike other browsers, and if this feature will be implemented in future, if possible.
