I keep finding a profile in Users\LocalSettings\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles The profile is ky8eslq6default I delete it, it comes back. Is this a Firefox file?

This profile, ky8eslq6default, is in the Mozilla]Firefox\Profiles folder and I didn't creat it. I delete it and it comes back everyt time I use Firefox. I just want to know if this is a legitimate Firefox profile or if some spyware or a virus is messing with my Firefox software.

hi, this will be the firefox folder for your profile for temporary files, caching, and so on... this is legitimate, so no need to worry about this.

Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder, so make sure to look in the correct location. Location used for the main profile in "AppData\Roaming" that keeps your personal data.

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Location used for the disk cache and other temporary files in "AppData\Local".
