I sucessfully imported my IE favourites to Firefox - BUT the favourites listed on my favourites bar were NOT imported ?? How do I get those too ??
As above
Chosen solution
(1) First, please check that Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar is displayed. To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:
- right-click a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
- tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > View > Toolbars
- in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
To turn on the Menu Bar, Bookmarks Toolbar, or other bars, click it on the list.
(2) Second, please see whether you can move the missing favorites/ bookmarks onto that bar as follows.
Open Firefox's Library dialog using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+b
- Bookmarks button > Show All Bookmarks
- (menu bar) Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
Expand the Imported Bookmarks folder, or check the Bookmarks Menu, to see whether there is a separate Favourites Bar sub-folder. If so, you can select and drag its content to the Bookmarks Toolbar in the left column.
Does that work?
