Hi,

I changed my laptop recently. I installed firefox, but autocorrect option isn't working.. It doesn't show red underline on the wrongly spelled words..

however, sometimes it work as well, but most of the time it doesn't..

Also, I still having this similar problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026848?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s

Is this because of some bug in the installation or what? I'd appreciate your kind help and support. Regards

Hello,

You can double check your language settings in your about:preferences page to make sure that you have the right language setup. Go to the Content tab for the languages. You can also make sure that you are enabling spell-checking in the Advanced section, under the General tab.

  • (language) Tools (or New Fx Menu) > Options > Content
  • (spell-check) Tools (or New Fx Menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Check my spelling as I type"

Also check your dictionaries to make sure that you have the right ones installed:

  • Tools (or New Fx Menu) > Add-ons > Dictionaries

You can always see if spell check is enabled to the right language by right clicking in any input box. "Check Spelling" should be checked and there should be a "Languages" submenu which shows which dictionary is currently selected.
