How do I enable Kaspersky Security Suite after updating version says it is incompatible? How to enable

Microsoft Outlook advised I needed to update my version of Firefox; so, I did that today. Now that I have done so, it has completely disabled everything on my Kaspersky Security Suite. I am now running without protection. Please help me fix this quickly. I have a secure website where client confidentiality is required by law. And I cannot use it until I get this issue fixed since it has disabled my security on the entire computer and won't let me enable it even using another browser.

If this is truly incompatible, can someone please give me specific instructions on how to reload the older version without losing everything?

Thanks! PS - Firefox says there is a connection problem on your end for the troubleshooting information.

Your separate Kaspersky application is not affected by Firefox.

It simply stated the versions of the Extensions you have installed from Kaspersky in Firefox are not compatible with Firefox 32.

The new update has disabled the entire security system on my computer. I am now running Firefox 32.0.2. If there isn't a fix for this, how can I download an earlier version of Firefox. I was not having any problems before today.

When I click on Kaspersky to make sure it is working, I get the message that there is an issue because it has been disabled. I am worried.

Thanks!

Kaspersky wouldn't be much of a security system if it allowed other installed programs to completely disable it. As James mentioned, it's probably the KISS extensions for Firefox that are disabled.

See Kaspersky for an updated version of their extensions for Firefox.

Kaspersky Support won't do anything until I send them a screenprint of the add on error messages. But, there seems to be a problem in that screen print, print preview, print, or anything else to do with print works. Is there a trick?

You can take a screenshot using the Windows Snipping Tool. It doesn't involve printing.

Thanks. I will let you know what happens. I have gotten Kaspersky to work; now, I just need to be able to enable the add-ons---particularly Safe Money.

Kaspersky is only compatible with Firefox up to 30.0. A number of their functions are disabled in the newer versions. That is why I was having issues. Can you please tell me the correct procedure for installing 30.0 without losing all my favorites, etc.?

Thanks!

I have been very patient. Can you please tell me the correct procedure for re-installing 30.0 from this updated version that conflicts with my security system. I get all sorts of error messages throughout the day now.

Thanks!

Kaspersky came back to tell me that there is a conflict with all versions of Mozilla Firefox after 30.0 and it actually does disable parts of the 2014/2015 security system so that I am vulnerable. It also disables all of the add-ons we are paying extra for. While they are working to update the regular versions, they have advised that Mozilla ESR is compatible. But, ESR is supposed to be for systems and not single computers. I see that there are 3 or 4 Firefox 64-bit versions, Firefox Nightly and others. Can you please tell me which ones I might be able to substitute for ESR?

Thanks!

Again Firefox does not touch or disable anything of any separate installed applications on any OS including ones made by Kaspersky on Windows.

The most Firefox will do is say the extensions versions you have installed in Firefox are not compatible with that Firefox version. Nightly and Aurora get checkins almost everyday so therefore they get a update each of thoses days. They are more for devs and testers or at least those who know how to install separate installs and use a separate Profile with them.

You can run Firefox completely on its own off a flash drive on Windows for example.

There are no Win64 Releases of Firefox from Mozilla yest, maybe by Firefox 37.0 in a first phase but that is too to explain and off-topic here. Due to what you have shown in your experience in the use of Firefox in this thread I suggest you stay away from the Nightly development channel builds as those are too bleeding edge for you. There are four main development channels as in Release, Beta, Aurora and Nightly.

ESR is short for Extended Support Release and while regular users can use them, they are made for Enterprise and such users in mind.

The current ESR versions are 24.8.1esr and 31.1.1esr. They were released when Firefox 32.0.3 was released. The old 24 ESR is only going to get one more security/stability update I believe as the ESR based on 31.0 is the current. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

About the only good thing about Norton is that unlike others (including Kaspersky) they have had a liveupdate patch for their toolbar extension for Firefox on day of or with a couple days new major Firefox version Release ever since Firefox 5.0.

Thanks for this reply; but, now I am really confused.

Number 1 - Right on your website, it states that ESR is not for individual computers. And, that is the only one that Kaspersky verifies is compatible with Firefox. Are there any problems with putting ESR on an individual computer? Or is there a substitute for ESR for individual computers?

Number 2 - I don't want to argue about what or who disables or does not disable what. Fact is, they are conflicting. This is a new development with the last Firefox upgrade and the Kaspersky renewal/upgrade. I just need to figure out how to resolve the problem.

Number 3 - I have not used Norton in many years ever since that protection allowed a virus that trashed my computer and I will probably never use it again. I disable when it comes free. When I pay for security, it is either Kaspersky or McAfee. Not sure what that comment was to address. Did I miss a previous comment?

Number 4 - I know how to do a number of things on a computer having been around them for years (since my first computer required a floppy to be inserted to boot up) but I probably call them something different than a tech and often don't understand geek speak (or at least those who know how to install separate installs and use a separate Profile with them . . . Huh?). I just need things explained in terminology I understand.

Thanks!
