Firefox gives me the connection reset error message on play.google.com or the get add ons page. Every time. Had to use chrome to post this question. I have uninstalled/reinstalled 6 times, reset to factory 4 times, yet all of my add ons and plugins are still there even though i tell it to remove user data. I have tried every troubleshooting tip i could find. NOTHING. please help!!!!!!

create a new profile, and see if your antivirus is blocking firefox from accessing the web, refer to the links below.

Have you tried manually removing Firefox and all of its data. If not, follow the steps below:

  1. Located the Firefox installation root
  2. Delete it
  3. Type %appdata% in Run window
  4. Open the folder entitled Mozilla
  5. Delete the folder entitle Firefox

WARNING: Removing folders/files can cause damage to other programs and the Windows operating system. use caution when manually deleting folders/files

I tried both suggestions and nothing. Even though I deleted the folders, somehow all my plugins and add ons were still there.

What are the plugins/add-ons that remain on the Firefox browser, even after uninstall and install?
