when I click onFirefox, a google window opens, firefox cannot be seen.
There is no apparent way to access firefox since the Google window fills the entire screen. Up unitl now when clicking on firefox a google window would open but firefox, with tabs, favorites etc would be seen on the top of the screen

It sounds as though Firefox might be stuck in full screen mode. Try pressing the F11 key to switch back to normal mode. If Firefox always opens full screen, it could indicate a corrupted settings file, but let us know whether Firefox now remembers to open in normal mode.

Good, so firefox is now evident. I will close it and see if it loads in a normal way. Hopefully I will be able to get back to you to let you know. Thanks for your help
