A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
What happens if you open Firefox in Save mode?

My bookmarks works okay, the google history is missing and everything next to the google search doesn't work.(search, share, bookmarks, check, translate, autofill, toolbar options. It corrected itself for awhile, now it's doing it again. Opening firefox in safe mode doesn't make a difference.

I take that back. I opened firefox in safe mode and my google history returned and everything seems back to normal. How do I keep it that way?
