I have marked quite a few links with "3D" tag. That tag does not exist in my tags! Simply disappeared! Help!

I have a tag "+eclectic", which tells me that extra characters ARE used in tagging - bit "3D" is not there. So, maybe you should warn users not to tag links with a number first, or change some bookmarks and tag settings.
