Book marks will not delete,whenclicking "remove Bookmark" Why?????

I open the bookmarked page, click the star then select "remove bookmark" BUT it remains have tried with two other web pages same result.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
