after installing the 2 latest versions - drop down boxes no longer work but works in IE

the drop down boxes are no longer working in Firefox but works when I use IE...as in when I have to enter the exp date on my credit card if I make an online purchase. I am not sure if it is firefox or my anti-virus software - webroot

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

I tried this but still not working correctly, ant other ideas for the technology challenged?
