I add a bookmark to a folder, but it doesn't appear in that folder in the booksmarks drop menu where I placed it, only in the newly added bookmarks and in the bookmarks manager. Why?

The bookmark shows up in the proper folder in the bookmarks manager, and it shows up under "Recently Added", but doesn't show in the drop menu folder under normal usage. This is since I upgraded to Firefox 3.6.8. It was working fine prior to the upgrade.

Re the upgrade, I had to completely uninstall Firefox due to the Add-ins manager not working--a conflict someplace--so this is a fresh install with an imported bookmarks list.
