Extensions that worked in earlier versions of Firefox may not work in Firefox 4 beta. There have been quite a few changes in the beta that will require some add-ons to be updated in order to make them work. Some add-ons will work, but others will cause problems.

It is best not to copy the add-ons from the old version, instead you should re-install them. First of all I recommend that you install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter, using this add-on will enable you to install add-ons that are not listed as compatible. You can then start installing your existing add-ons. I recommend installing them one at a time, then re-start Firefox to confirm that they work. If they do not you can uninstall or disable them.
