How to update the Email Address in Return-Path: in Thunderbird?
I've mucked up and Email Account and whilst trying to solve it, I have found where the Return-Path: email address is listed as a very old email address that is no longer active on any server.
So I'm looking at how to update it??

In case anyone needs to know where I found this error, it was in:- "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\XXXXXXXXX.default-release\ImapMail\mail.XXXXXXXXX.com.au\INBOX" In the file named INBOX opened in Notepad.
I have replaced the private details with XXXXX.

"The return path is set by the receiving mail server after an email is delivered, and it indicates where bounce messages and delivery notifications should be sent. This header is created based on the envelope sender information used during the email transmission process."
In other words, it's not under your control. The "Return-Path" header is set by the receiving mail servers along the way.
One thing that might affect that is the settings for the SMTP server that that Thunderbird account is set to use. Check out <Account Settings | (account) | Outgoing Server (SMTP)>. Click the "Edit SMTP server" button to view its settings. Note that if you use multiple Identities, each specify a different SMTP server.
