I want to change my email address or delete my account as it is tied to an old work email that I no longer have access to. When I try to change it or delete the account online it asks me to enter the code sent to my old email address. A previous user had the same problem and you didn’t provide an answer.

Hi

To be able to delete the account, we need to be able to verify that you are the account holder. As the information we have is your email address, we need to be able to verify you through that email address before we can close your Firefox Account.

You must have other personal and user-related information on me other than my email address. And if I request the deletion of that data, to protect my personal information, there must surely be a way to validate myself. Surely I have rights here too under data protection?

That can't happen the only other is the user login with the email address and password of that account and go to the account profile and choose "delete account" info. As since your email is tied to a dead email account there nothing more that can be done here.
