I go into Firefox browser, then katcr.co, or piratebay.org, then click magnet downoad; and I get this Firefox error message everytime. it says- "There is no program associated to perform the requested action. Please install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.

I have tried many many different things, steps, troubleshooting to try and fix this problem, and nothing works, just keep getting the same firefox.exe popup. Was wondering if you guys could help? Thanks

The reason is is that no browser really handles a .torrent file.

You need to install a Torrent Client that handles those sort of things : https://www.techradar.com/news/the-best-free-torrent-client

I would suggest running a VPN as downloading certain things are illegal and your internet company will warn you and if living in the US can be sued for thousands of dollars for each file. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=VPN Nothing replaces buying from a company that does not have servers in the US.

Do not download programs as you will only end up giving your self a virus.

It probably wants a torrent client, such as BitTorrent installed on your computer.

NOTE: Mozilla does not support or condone illegal downloading.
