Why did I lose 6TopSites, when my Firefox was upgraded from 56 to 57(64-bit)Quantum? Windows 7(64bit) system

Previous to my upgrade of Firefox 56, I had 15 to 18 TopSites to choose from to navigate my browser when I opened a NewTab(my NewTabs become blank pages). When I allowed Firefox to upgrade my browser, it upgraded to 57.0 Quantum (64-bit). When I first opened a NewTab (after the upgrade to 57.0), I only had 6 choices of TopSites. With the edit function I was able to increase the TopSites to 12. I would really like to get back to 18 TopSites, if possible. Please help.

Go to about:config and set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesCount to 18
