Firefox 54 for Android: Why does Ctrl+(+) and Ctrl+(-) not zoom?

I have a NEXBOX A1 Android box with a USB-connected keyboard. Ctrl+(+) and Ctrl+(-) do not zoom any pages at all in or out, and I can find no other way to zoom. I cannot do Ctrl+(scroll wheel) either on my ball mouse. Online help provides no other way for me to zoom. How do I enable the keyboard zooming functions?
