How can I install a recommended correction for an invalid security certificate?
I was trying to reach one of the web pages of ntp (network time protoco), but Firefox 53.0.3 reported an invalid security certificate for this link: https://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/StratumOneTimeServers
Wrote to the ntp webmaster and received the following reply:
"We're converting from CAcert certificates, where you may need to install their Class 3 certificate on your system, to LetsEncrypt."
Can someone please explain what is it I need to do? Thank you.

Converting to using LetsEncrypt is good and if set up correctly will work well with Firefox without you needing to take any action at all. (See wikipedia.org/wiki/Let's_Encrypt )
See this report on the site
Note that warns about the trust issue with it using an untrusted certificate at present. It also gives general information on the issue.
If you are not exchanging money or confidential information the untrusted certificate is not too important.
Currently all you need to do to use the site, and avoid those warning messages is to set an exception for the site. Something that takes a few seconds and a few mouse clicks. Use the advanced button, then set an exception, and make sure you use the tick box for Firefox to remember the exception. See also:
