I can no longer forward messages without going to the actual address box. There is no space beside my emails to click the address and send

My emails used to have a list of addresses beside them and when I wanted to forward an email, all I had to do was click forward and scroll down to the recipient's name and click on it and forward it on to them. I don't have that list anymore and if I don't know the person's email address, I have to go the address book which is in another screen and then send it. It is very inconvenient. I have tried to stretch the side of the screen to see if I lost something and there is nothing there. This just happened suddenly. Please help
