Why won't firefox remember my logins even when I change this setting to do so?

Every time I open firefox, I go to options and check "Remember logins for sites" and "remember search and form history." When I close the browser, these settings go back to being unchecked and I have to login manually to all my sites again. Please help! Do I need to save cookies or something?

hi Watson293, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

What security software do you have?

If you have TrendMicro software then try to uninstall the TrendMicro Password Manager via the Windows Control Panel.
