Hi folks, I have a university email account that will shortly expire (I completed my course) which I have recently configured to Thunderbird. I don't want to lose 2 years' worth of emails and contacts, so got Thunderbird so that I can keep those messages by storing them locally. However unfortunately since configuring the account only 4 of the 40 subfolders I have in my inbox have appeared in Thunderbird. I would really like to have all the sub folders with all the messages they contain. Can any one advise how to do this? My account is due to expire in a few days, so help asap would be welcome. Thanks!

Is this an IMAP or a POP account. POP mail accounts only download the inbox folder. So to get your mail from a pop server you will need to move them from their folders to the inbox. It is a pain and IMAP is better for this but if done one folder at a time you can "bulk" put them into new folders.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It's a IMAP account.
