Need to know how to change settings now that I have a new internet provider.

James Gunnells

I have swapped my Internet provider fro Inmotion to Bluehost. When the DNS was changed I can no longer receive emails. I am using Thunderbird. Where do I go to change this? I have a lot of emails that I need to keep. I have them on my computer but cannot receive any new email.

Can I assume that your email provider has not changed?

There should be no need to change any settings within Thunderbird when your internet provider changes, and, in fact, there are no settings within the program that affects this. Consider a laptop that roves from place to place and connects to many different Internet providers at airports, hotels, etc. Thunderbird will always work... unless there is some problem with the network or email provider.

If there is a connectivity problem, you should see error messages. Please quote all error messages you see, precisely and in full. Screen shots could be helpful.
