I always want to use my arrow keys when browsing, not the scroll bar.
I always want to use the arrow keys when browsing. Sometimes they freeze and I have to use the scroll bar. Is there a way to choose only arrow keys when browsing?

It's possible a website is consuming these key presses, using them for driving their menus, hidden login forms and that kind of things. See if pressing space bar does scroll at that point — it might be also focused to some form input of sorts, these in page components take over when they're in focus.
(I'm using page up / page down keys for this, as these don't seem to end up trapped in page content and inputs, and always paginate on my system.)
The page up and page down is a breakthrough! Wonderful. But not a solution as page down goes to the bottom of the page, and page up scrolls up in small sections. That means I'm reading the article in reverse.
Copilot suggested turning off caret, but I couldn't find it in my settings.
Do you have another suggestion, or perhaps a way to turn off caret in Firefox?
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I've been a Firefox user for many years. I have no intention of ever changing browsers. It would be nice to read articles, but not more important than using Firefox.
Thanks again.

judeeylander, you should be able to toggle caret browsing on or off by pressing the F7 key.
It should, but on my computer it turns the volume on and off. Thank you so much. Do you have another suggestion?
