I decided to try exporting my Facebook Messenger E2E encrypted chats, however I keep running into a variety of problems, because the process is simply badly written. By default, the process breaks when the website local storage data reaches 10GB - that is, as far as I understand, a Firefox limit. There is still plenty of RAM and disk space remaining. When the local storage hits 10GB, you get a "Quota exceeded" DOM Exception.

To get around that, I've changed browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled -> False browser.cache.disk.capacity -> 50GB (values in KB of course) dom.storage.default_quota -> 25GB dom.storage.default_site_quota -> 25GB browser.cache.disk.max_entry_size -> 256MB (seemed like some larger files were missing, like longer videos)

However the process still breaks, although I'm unsure if it wasn't a soft-limit by Facebook the last time (since it stopped downloading around 8,5-9GB, earlier than in previous attempts)

Are there more settings that could be limiting the export apart from those mentioned? I understand this is pushing the browser over the reasonable limits, however I still hope it is possible to override them for that one-off situation before reverting to defaults.

For the last 2-3 day I have been experiencing a box that asks for my signature each time I go to a new website. I can't move the box. I can't screenshot it. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

i have 4 accounts on firefox and i cannot remember which account i have been used through years now i cannot sync my old data however i have tried the 4 emails and accounts i used and non of them is working

Hello, Mozilla. I really appreciate the way you think about internet access. What you stated about the app is truly reflected within it: fast connections, accurate results, and most importantly, the security. However, when it comes to advertisements, I was really expecting that whenever I watch YouTube contents, there will be no ads shown. To my surprise, ads are still there. I provided a snapshot of my desktop to give a proof about this. Is there somehow a way to get rid of them, like perhaps an extension to block ads? If there's none, that's fine as well. Thank you and high praise to the developers of this browser.

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I can't search up anything. Every time I search something lets say youtube, it just tells me page isn't redirecting properly. Ive already tried moving my settings from strict to standard, clearing all my site data and cookies, and resetting the browser. I don't know what else to do.

For a few weeks now I have been unable to obtain email addresses from my bt address book when sending emails. If I type an address it often disappears when I press send. This makes it nearly impossible to send to a team list.

BT tell me that the email set-up is working well and it must be a server problem. They suggested clearing the history and cache on FireFox which I have done but no change.

Other servers seem to be ok but I don't really wish to change from Fire Fox which I have used for years and well set up.

Please could anyone advise?

I have a Mozilla account. On one laptop, I am logged in automatically when I open Firefox, and can access bookmarks and saved logins. The same is true on my Android phone. But I have a second laptop on which Firefox will not recognize my login credentials. I can log in to Mozilla Support, Monitor, etc., but not the browser itself. When I open Firefox, the login dialog pops up, but when I enter the password, it isn't recognized.

When i downloaded Firefox yesterday i noticed my desktop icons the pictures changed to Firefox picture is there any way i can them back to the way they were before. Barbara Hudson.

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich Esset home auf meinen Computer und mein Tablett installiert. Immer wenn ich das Internet (FireFox) öffne kommt die Warnmeldung "Sicheres Banking & Surfen ist erst nach einem Neustart des Computers voll funktionsfähig." Den Neustart habe ich bereits mehrmals veranlasst. Die Warnmeldung kommt aber immer wieder. Was soll ich machen? Bin ich beim OnlineBanking und Surfen nicht sicher?

Since a few days ago, Firefox has been struggling with the likes of youtube, twitch and other streaming videos where the the videos will constantly freeze up, forcing me to use a different browser in order to watch videos.

Nothing has changed (ie I have not added any new extensions), and have also done a flat re-install of Firefox to no avail (as well as trying firefox without the Mozilla VPN on to see if that did anything).

I rely heavily on tab groups to organize my browser sessions for different tasks and projects. I’ve experienced an issue where, after saving+closing tab groups, they disappear from the “Recent Tab Groups” section after some time. This means (EVERYTHING IS LOST) I have to recreate my organized tabs from scratch each time, which is a "significant workflow disruption" (to say lightly). I understand tab groups are designed to persist across sessions and the hinting fox menu says they should be available for reopening in “Recent Tab Groups” at anytime, but I’m finding this isn’t consistently working (on several devices I use). I’m hoping to understand if there’s a limitation or known issue with how tab groups are stored, and whether there’s a more reliable way to preserve these groupings long term. It’s possible others are running into this behavior too, and I’d appreciate insight into whether this is a known issue or if I’m missing something in how tab groups are managed. Perhaps a future patch could address this persistence problem for long term reliability?
