Upon sign-in to Hotmail, Firefox reports "you have tried to sign in too many times with wrong password", which is not true, and password works with chrome.

I have had this problem in the past, but now its back again. At first I just reset my password every time, then I set up the password to be auto-filled. I have had no sign-in failures for months. At one point i did figure out how to check my sign in history to see the failed attempts, and there were none. That was a long time ago, and I have since forgotten how to check this. The problem does seem to be with firefox as it does not happen with chrome.

I'm seeing the same thing. There are several notifications about attempts from different countries in the outlook app on my phone. Pass few days the password is not working and have to use the app to get in. see screenshot

I am not using the outlook app. I am logging into the hotmail.com website from a linux laptop using firefox 148.0. This message seems to be a mistake created by firefox rather than a real message from hotmail, because I don't get it when I log in using chrome.

By the way, how can I check all the attempted logs to my hotmail account ?

Problem is intermittent. After logging in successfully with chrome, firefox started working again.

I know you're logging into the site. I just mentioned the app because I use it as 2Factor Authentication. I see nothing about viewing attempted logins, but only my successful logins into my account. To see activity --> https://account.live.com/Activity

I'm getting prompts from the app asking if I'm trying to login when I not even on the computer. Not seeing how it's a Firefox issue.
