Firefox updated automatically. It has lost my main window of 50+ tabs. What is worse I can't access any other programme though they are running as I can see with alt-tab.

I hate programs that automatically update. How do I turn this feature off permanently?

The browser has become very annoying to use and it keeps using a popup telling me to update! the problem is not the update in its self but when I allow it to do the update I can never find where it downloaded it to so I am plagued with this constant pop-up, I used to like Firefox but recently they got barred from Facebook messenger video calls.

Why does my office desktop Firefox version update every 2 or 3 time I start my browser? I click on browser and a popup box tells me its updating. The updates are short, 15 to 30 seconds and then the browser opens and runs normally.

When I download an update and restart firefox, it opens a https://www.firefox.com/en-US/whatsnew/ tab. I want it to not do this.

Hello, my laptop is a HP envy, 64 bit operating syste, x64 based processor. I have Windows 11 Home 25H2 version. Right now I have Firefox extended Support release, 115.390ers (64-bit) and my google email says this is not supported, also some of my credit cards websites won't let me use Firefox either. But I have Windows 11 so I don't understand why it keeps saying I have Window 8. I would like to update to the new version of Firefox that is normal for Windows 11 Thank you for your help. My start menu is multi-level and sorted. The latest Firefox (154.0) adds a NEW start menu entry for itself at the "programs" level when launched even though it is already entered at a sub-level. This is a NEW problem since earlier versions did not do this. How can I stop this since it confuses and messes up my start menu. OS - Windows 10 with current patches. Using "Classic Menu" to provide better support for multi-level menus.

On my Ubuntu computer, I find that the New Tab extension does not update like in my Windows computer.

Does the extension update at the same time as on Windows? Is there a way to make Firefox update the extension since going to Extensions does not appear to do that for this extension like those I have installed myself?

Desktop picture of my dog goes to black after Firefox updates as I use the mouse to navigate the files on the desktop. Tired of going in and trying to get my picture back.
