I noticed you use some 3.xx version of firefox. I had this problem on a pc of a friend, it wouldn't upgrade probably because of the version installed being too old. Download the complete 12.0 setup of firefox here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html Uninstall the installed version. Then install 12.0 and it should work fine. Hope this helps.

You should be able to use Firerfox 12 on a 32 bit Window XP machine, note however that from Firefox 13 you will need to have at least XP sp 2, (anyone with a kosher copy of Windows should not have a problem with that.)
