Need to import PWs & bookmarks from one drive to another. Help articles make no sense.

Had an HD problem. Bought new HD. Firefox is installed on both old HD & new one. Need to get PWs & bookmarks over to new HD. I found the 'backup' file, but it appears to be the same file no matter which drive I'm running Firefox from. BTW, when I first launched Firefox from the OLD drive, it told me I needed to upgrade--which I had already done, months ago. I assumed just "upgrading" in this way would give me a working Firefox with all PWs & bookmarks intact, but of course, that would be too easy & the PWs & etc. are nowhere to be found. Thanks for any help you can provide.
