Firefox will not start, rename?

qwertyjjj

I had an issue whereby firefox wouldn't startup at all. I reinstalled and it still wouldn't work, also deleted the profiles and that didn;t work. What I then did after something I found on google, was to rename the firefox.exe to firefox3.exe and now it start up correctly. Is this a Mozilla problem or could I have a virus? I hav run avira with no detections.

It's very likely that your antivirus/firewall/security suite is blocking firefox.exe. By renaming it (or moving the install folder, it should also work), you are fooling the antivirus/firewall/security suite into thinking it's a new exe. Check that.
