firefox opens and closes and another window opens.
Firefox opens to yahoo.com then closes and another page opens saying: Unable to connect Firefox can’t connect to the server at report.error-report.com. When I open a new window it connects to yahoo.com.

This could likely be browser hijacker/malware or bad extension.
Try this :
In Firefox, go to about:addons → Extensions → remove anything you don’t recognize. Go to about:preferences#home → set Homepage and new windows to Firefox Home or your preferred site. Go to about:preferences#search → set your search engine; remove Yahoo if unwanted. Run Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Quick scan. In Firefox go to about:support → Refresh Firefox.
report.error-report.com is not a normal Firefox error page. I wouldn't enter any info there.
