How do I unsync your stupid [expletive] garbage?

more options

I made the mistake I will never make again of signing into a Mozilla account in Firefox. Suddenly everything about the browser was completely different. I realized it had synced to my primary computer without asking me a [expletive] thing about what I wanted to sync or if I wanted to do that now.

How do I unsync the second computer so that Firefox goes back to the way it was before the unexpected forced sync? I had those settings the way I wanted them for a reason.

Firefox 143.0.4 on Ubuntu 24.04

Hi Barry

I am going to edit your question for language as we try to keep things family friendly around here.

Have you tried logging into your account at https://accounts.firefox.com and removing the device listed under Connected Services?

more options

I have not tried it because there was nothing in any UX cue or discoverable support post that indicated that option existed or might do something. I have now done that, and the styling on the 2nd computer remains the "synced" style. I have to assume other things are, too. That didn't work to revert the 2nd computer to its previous styling.
