I am trying to download a pdf file from a safe website but it says that I have an adblock or something similar that prevents me from downloading the document. I've been looking in all the Firefox extensions or preferences and I haven't seen anything that looks remotely like an adblock extension. I am not browsing in private mode either. I don't understand and It's been going on for a while now. I don't know what to do next. Thank you S.

Maybe privacy protection is enabled? Try to visit about:preferences#privacy or visit your pdf site and click on shield icon next to padlock icon and then disable it for this site only.
