I had already done as Paul suggested, but there was only one profile listed, named Default. I have found the place where the profiles are stored, and I have a private back-up (.json file). But none of this is useful if Firefox won't open the Choose File window from the Restore option in Library. What else can I try?

it's my fault and i don't know what i did: set FF to always restore previous session but closed several multi-tab windows when tabs were restoring, including - i think - truth.social.com, which was carrying one of those windows, possibly misusing the restore all tabs selection.

the best way to help is for you to draw a picture of me, deleting by mistake, and then reporting to you.

i will continue on my own, reviewing the "help" focusing on "restore", and will put as many tabs (ugh) back in windows they belong in. don't worry. it was me, and the effort will be worth it.

FIrefox version 145.0.1 on a Windows computer.

Recently, whenever I open Firefox all my bookmarks are gone.

Booksmarks Toolbar is set to Always Show.

The only way to make them show is to uninstall and reinstall. And I have to do this every single time I turn on my computer. Getting very sick of this very quickly.

I have deleted my preferences by accident and I can't get them back off time machine or in the trash,

fire fox won't open as it says preferences missing -

and I keep going around in circles getting nowhere -

My bookmarks and history disappeared from my mobile Firefox. Maybe because I took some permissions away? Not sure why that would destroy a few years history and bookmarks I count on being visually impaired.

I'm not a PC expert. "Search Bookmarks" does not list all my previous bookmarks. In layman's terms, how do I recover them for daily use? The few that are listed were previously rarely used. Thank you for your help.

Not sure I picked the right subject. Bookmarks is what I want to talk about. My bookmark files are all gone!! Am I going to get them back or what? What can I do to get them back? I really need them!

I tried replying to your email introducing the new version to report this, but the mail daemon replied there was no mx record for domain=mail.mozilla.org. Have I been scammed by someone appearing to be Mozilla ?

As a senior why is my FireFox changing I dont know how to get it back to what it use to look like all my book marks are not here on my desktop

I am not a tec person I just want the same as it was!

Hi, there.

After performing the most recent Firefox update, I was greeted with the "create a new profile prompt", rather than having it open my old one. When going to "about:profiles", ALL FILES in the Root Directory of my old, default profile have the same date as the update, or after. Not a single file is older than that and all my history and bookmarks are gone. The option "Restore Previous Session" was not shown after the update.

PLEASE HELP!!

PS: This happened on a Macbook Pro. All other profiles are the same as they were before the update, having kept all history and bookmarks.

After trying suggested "fixes" still unable to get bookmarks restored on my Firefox account, and can't add any new ones either. Should I reinstall Firefox?
