I have been using Firefox with Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional 16.1 since 2022. Never had a problem with dictating into any boxes or search bars before today. Now I cannot dictate into those and I need to. I am a quadriplegic and ventilator dependent and need to use Firefox and be able to dictate into it. Can someone tell me what to do to get that to work again?

I need to know how to make subtitles readable again. I want bright white on dark back ground. This constant dim gray on light back ground is terrible. I am elderly, deaf in one ear and wear a hearing aid. I need the subtitles to be readable.

Please tell me how to fix them if it is something I can change. Or is it something the channel owner is doing? That same question applies to the YT bingo card video rectangles. Sometimes they are giant and in a single row I like the 3 wide display, like a bingo card.

Lastly, why do the video choices display on the right side of the screen? That makes the info below them unreadable. They used to be on the left side so hovering over the text is readable. Who is charge of fixing that?

I can run Firefox once after starting the computer. If I close Firefox, I cannot run it again. Any attempt to start says there is an instance of Firefox running so it cannot start. I did some research and for that running the following yielded some indication of a problem that I cannot seem to solve.

Something appears to have left this PID so that the computer thinks it is running when it appears that it isn't there.

I want to achieve windowed functionality of Firefox's F11 fullscreen mode, where there's no window borders nor tab/url bar, which pops in on hover. Having every pixel actually be web space is just preferable to me. This used to be possible in old Firefox versions simply by resizing a fullscreened FF window using a resizer extension or window manager (such as seen here, with version 55.0.3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1klHdUHiKtLVITmrQnul8O1zF32l-Uz6c/view). At some point, something must have changed in FF's fullscreen API because it no longer responds to any of this.

I'm willing to pay anyone savvy enough to come up with a solution. Ideally by figuring out how to again be able to simply resize F11 windows. Note: "full-screen-api.ignore-widgets" isn't cutting it, there will still be a window border and the tab/url bar won't automatically pop up.

Immediately after my last Mozilla update, the system asked me if I wanted Firefox as my search engine. I clicked yes, as I always do when prompted. I don't know if this is the cause or if there's another connection I'm missing, but since then I haven't been able to access other websites. Every time I try, an error message appears saying "Oops, the system has crashed..." or something like that. However, if I use Google or Edge, everything works fine. How can I fix this problem? For some reason I click a tab this evening and I lost everything. Now it is a lavender color (ugg) and all my information, tabs, everything is gone.

dear reader hope you are doing well ive got an issue im not sure if it is my laptop specific or firefox default

please refer to below attached images If i cntrl+f and try to find a string on the window, firefox highlights all the hits in a dark pink color and the scroll bar is not visible!! that is a issue isint it as a cannot find the scroller and hold it and scroll it up or down!

let me know please if there are any gaps in my explanation of the issue if there isint , please suggest/provide a fix

Recently I've noticed that some web sites are displaying text in very washed-out colours or on backgrounds of similar colour to the text. This produces a low contrast ratio and makes the text very hard to read. I tried setting the text colour in Firefox settings, but this seems only to affect text where the web site does not explicitly set a colour. Is there any way to ovcerridethe web site's choice of colour?

I cannot connect with my on-line banking site. When I try, I get the message "Bad Request--Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. I am able to access the site using another browser, so there cannot be a problem with the site itself. This situation has only existed since Firefox did an update. So, the problem must lie with Firefox. If it is not fixed, then I fear that I will have to discontinue using Firefox as my online browser. The Proton VPN extension/add-on usage can override the Firefox language setting when it assigns a user to a node in another land. That land's language can suddenly become the default language one sees, and may remain in spite of trying to reset the Firefox language default. E.g., if one is assigned a VPN node in Japan, suddenly the general language one sees is Japanese, and it remains in spite of disabling Proton VPN and even after exiting and signing back in. The only alternative one has is to request a different node and then wait for the timeout (30 sec., 2 minutes, etc.) for another and hopefully understandable language/country node.

I raised this issue with Proton, and they maintain that loss of one's language proves that Proton VPN is working (see my response under ratings)

1. How does someone accept "working" VPN when one loses their ability to comprehend the displayed language? In my past experiences with other VPNs (NordVPN, etc.) they never corrupted my default browser language.

Unfortunately, Fusion does not work properly with the new Firefox. Firefox cannot be controlled using shortcuts such as H-headlines, E-input fields, B-button, insert+F7-link list, and insert+F6-heading list. Also, on most pages, you can't use Jaws controls like word-by-word reading or paragraph-by-paragraph reading, which is really limiting, especially with Outlook online. In Firefox 146, Jaws usually only recognizes the whole email as an image, and reading aloud only works if you use the mouse and navigate line by line, which is really hard if you're visually impaired. Hi I use VoiceOver on my Mac to type quickly and it is integral for my day-to-day tasks. However, I encounter an issue when using certain commands to make selections and subsequent corrections to things I type in a text field.

A brief explanation of VoiceOver I am having issue with I speak "select previous word/sentence/paragraph" etc. (anything that isn't x letters) the command is not executed properly.

To be completely honest the commands are unpredicatble and more often than not select commands do not work.

So if I am searching something on google and VoiceOver mistypes or mishears something I need to manually go back and correct it, this is a big accesibility issue and it's a shame because I love firefox, however this is a major accesibility issue for me.
