I am using Ubuntu Linux on a desktop PC running Firefox in kiosk mode going to a specific web page - Every time Firefox does an update (since version 147) the kiosk mode stops working. The very latest update, after a reboot, just shows the menu bars and not Firefox going to that specified web page. Has the kiosk code changed since v147 ?

Have used this wi-fi before on Fedora Workstation 44. Reinstalled linux using Xfce Fedora 44. Selected now from list of available wi-fi connections and indicates connected at 79%. Firefox not able to use connection? Thanks for any help available.

20/09/2026 CROSSWORD SPOILERS

The crossword on the home page today has a clue has a very misleading answer. It gives the clue "a quartet, but doubled", which should be Octet, however it uses the very outdated and (personally believed to be) inappropriate answer as it would make sense that quarTET would then imply ocTET. A more apt clue should have been, "Triad, but for eight". Very aware this is a personal gripe rather than an actual issue, but is there a process where the crosswords are checked or are they pulled from a 3rd party site?

All over this site it says how great it is and what it does but no where does it say what the current version is or even what the version of the downloads are. You tube says multiple versions are not playable on this version yet this is the current version i am using. Software developers have really hit low levels of Not KISS.

I deleted the Firefox on my Sony mobile phone.

Make "ask before closing multiple tabs" the default behavior on fresh install

I've lost count of how many times a new installation of Firefox has caused frustration closing multiple tabs without warning. This should not even be a feature. It is a defect that has existed for years in Firefox. Every new installation comes with this option disabled, so when trying to close just one tab after a fresh install users accidentally close the window with every tab, without asking "are you sure?"

The confirmation box "are you sure?" should be the default behavior, not a "go into settings and fix that after it is too late" because realizing that the problem is there should not be a condition for the user to realize the option is not on. Fix this on next and upcoming releases, please. For God's sake. I'm tired of loosing progress every time after a new installation of Firefox, and I'm sure millions of users have faced same frustration, at some point, including you.

I play https://crazyshooters.com/ and https://crazyshooters2.com/ a lot! But the game became laggy since Firefox 148 and my ping spikes up. Other browsers play fine. I am on Linux Mint if that helps. (147 and below run fine)

I'm trying to use Firefox Backup and have it save my sensitive data, but every time I enter a password, even if it meets the requirements, I get an error banner: "Something went wrong. Please try again."

It's very frustrating that the error message is so unhelpful. I have no idea what went wrong, nor how to fix it -- just trying again results in the same thing.

What is happening? How do I fix it?
