firefox goes to yahoo but does not create new email message

I set the firefox "mailto" to yahoo. When I click on an email address on another site to mail to them, it goes to yahoo, ask for my password(I have already went on yahoo mail recently and signed in with the remember password option on but it still asks), goes to the yahoo mail site, but doesn't create a email with the email address that i clicked on, instead it does nothing. i am running it on a window vista
